NYC-BigKat Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Me & my new coworker went looking for girls on craigslist but it was mostly his idea & he kinda forced me into it so we went ahead with it right. We got a bunch of replies but lots of them seemed automated or something u know so my coworker kept on posting & then 2 real girls replied to his ad & he got to chatting on the phone with them & stuff so we met them last night inside the park. Um..he drives so I was next to him & we stayed by the lights inside the park so we could see them really really clear. I started getting scared when I saw 2 teen girls walk inside and started calling his phone. I stayed in the car but my coworker went to talk to them & they lied about their ages and pics on craigslist. They was supposed to be 24 & 25 but was really 16 & 17 & said to my coworker there was a hotel 2 blocks over if we wanted to chill & stuff. It was a scam! I got scared & called him & told him to leave. They wouldn't let him go until he either took them to the hotel & paid for everything or my coworker had to give them $100 each or they was gonna give his license plates to the cops 'cause they took pics on their cell phones so my coworker bargained it down to $50 to get rid of them. My god whats next!
veggirl Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 2 teenage girls "wouldn't let him go"? Really? He couldn't just...drive off? What does a pic of a man on a cell phone prove, at all? I assume he wasn't naked or holding one of them down or something. He lost $ cause he's a dummy. 12

He let 2 dumb teenage girls manipulate $100 out of him for no reason... unless you're not telling us something.
Author NYC-BigKat Posted March 29, 2013 Author Posted March 29, 2013 Seriously. He let 2 dumb teenage girls manipulate $100 out of him for no reason... unless you're not telling us something. Its 'cause they'r minors & we wasn't supposed to be meeting them u know! They was gonna use that for the scam & it worked. My coworker got scared 'cause the girls said they got his license plates & gonna tell the police that we tried to solicit them. I'm not going on craigslist no more after this .
kaylan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 If they lied to you about their age, and have no proof you did anything wrong. All you have to do is show the cops the emails, and those girls get in trouble for falsifying reports. You and your coworker are stupid. I can only imagine how older mature gold diggers could rip you two off. Are there any smart folks left in my gender? lol 9
Sanman Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Yeah, these girls are geniuses. They threaten men and say they wil drop the threat if a strange man takes them to a strange hotel where no one know their whereabouts and anything could happen to them. I don't see these girls scamming too many more people. 1
kaylan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 PS - My response to these girls would have been *click*..... "thanks, got your picture now...and Im gonna spam it on craigslist and social media so people know about your little game. And please do tell the cops how I supposedly tried to have sex with minors when I have saved emails of your bullsh!!t lies. Fvking try me young ladies. Im not stupid." Your coworker is weak and has no balls. No wonder he needs CL to find women. Seedy women at best. 1

No I don't know what you mean. My niece is a 13 yr old minor, I'm allowed to meet up with her anytime we please. Your coworker is a gullible fool and you are being one too. "they tried to solicit us!" with no proof? and then what? NOTHING. please. 1

They'll **** up your life real good just for fun, not even profit. 2
SmileFace Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 ........... Dafuq Solicit them? hmmm... Did you forget you have copies of the initial emails probably sent?
FitChick Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I can only imagine how older mature gold diggers could rip you two off. Something tells me those two won't have to worry about golddiggers. 2
KatZee Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 One word. Craigslist. Who goes on Craigslist looking for a woman? And he let 16 year old kids get the better of him? Everyone already posted the obvious here. Print out the email exchange, show cops if anyone had an issue, etc etc. Super fail. 2
Treasa Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I was laughing too hard to type anything for five minutes. OP, please tell me this is an early April Fool's Day joke. 1
mortensorchid Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 WHether it's CraigsList or any other website, don't ever reply to it unless there is a photograph posted of the person in question. If you do receive some kind of inquiry from them, I always email back "I would like to see a picture please". NONE of them have responded. That way I know it's just spam, law enforcement or a scam of some kind. As for your story, that's crazy that ANYONE that they would use CriagsList for any kind of dating, it's far too dangerous. If you want to sell something or advertise for a job (a substantial one) it's fine, but meeting people is nothing but disaster.
KatZee Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 UM, craigslist has a DATING SITE. Did you not know that? Craigslist is NOT a dating site. Does it have an ad section? Yes. Does that make it a dating site? Not really. You can sell and buy furniture and cars. You can buy clothes. You can find pretty much ANYTHING on Craigslist. Does that mean it's a legitimate website to do so? NO. Anyone with any ounce of brain cells doesn't go on Craigslist for that. Haven't you seen the news with scammers? And how they shut down the adult service section? 1
KatZee Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 That's false because I met many woman off CL since 2007 and never had a bad experience I think your threads speak for themselves, honestly. You're not exactly a "go-to" person on the topic of meeting, dating, and maintaining relationships. 5
MidwestUSA Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I think your threads speak for themselves, honestly. You're not exactly a "go-to" person on the topic of meeting, dating, and maintaining relationships. So I should throw out the binder of his threads that I printed out as a self improvement tool? And my "easy cheese fries" book? 2
2sunny Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 UM, craigslist has a DATING SITE. Did you not know that? In my area - Craigslist is for people who can't do real dating. It's for hook ups and for people willing to pay for sex - whether married or not. I don't call that dating - I call it an ad for prostitution. To the OP - you should have been the one to call the police and report those "girls"! Handing them all your power by being scared is just stupidity.

My god whats next! So you met girls off Craiglist for Christ sake, they wanted to meet at night in the Park and there were no alarm bells ringing? If you are interested in making a few extra bucks to make up for this, there are a few Nigiarian Princes on Craigslist too who need some help 2
KathyM Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I know a guy who used to look for women on CL. Nothing but scam artists, or law enforcement. Might be a few prostitutes on there looking to make some money, but you'd be a fool to trust what anyone claims on there. Cops posing as prostitutes are on there. Don't risk your life, your freedom or your money on CL people. And don't trust the pictures people send you from there. The pictures are usually fake, and not the actual person you would be meeting. And Philly Dude, you are playing Russian Roulette with your life. Someday that game will catch up to you, just like it did with the OP. 1
Barnacle-Bob Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I love that this guy got hustled by a couple of kids. Haha! That is outstanding. How does that even happen?!?
2sunny Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Then why do they have a section called dating? Because thy can! Do you actually take these women out on a date before you screw them?
