ok .. so I have been a little inspired by this Survey done by one Jan Halper about sucessful men and their lives, and so I am wondering about how many of your MM were men aged 40 +/- with great careers?

Yep. He is 42 and is a Senior VP at a large internet company. I have a fairly decent career of my own.

Mine was 27 . Well paid job but literally cleaned ****. And he wasn't good looking either

Paper, I have no emotional attachment to this. I think maybe you need to step back and reread. No post is reading like that so I think you are projecting. Poor dear, maybe not the right forum for you. :(

Possibly...

My bf is over 40, does very well. I also do very well. I don't make quite as much as he does, but I do well enough.

And if he was a ditch digger (yes, I've met them, as well as farmers, grocery clerks, truck drivers, investment bankers, lawyers, doctors and on and on) it would not matter.

I love him. And a lot of bs's can't fathom it because that would imply their wh loved another and, even if later saying it was a mistake, it clearly was not at the time.

My bf left the marriage, we're together. And we are HAPPY and COMPATIBLE. That must kill some bs's. But, there it is.

So Happy,

I'm confused. What do BS's have to do with anything? Do you think BS's genuinely care about you and your life in a personal way? I'm not being rude but was really puzzled at all your passive aggressive references to BSs. This thread is older, so I even had to go back to the first page to see which part of the question was related to BSs. It seems this topic has no relevance whatsoever to BS's but is simply asking about if the MM was over 40 or not...so it seems particularly odd that the first part is on topic then the rest is about BSs lol. It struck me as odd that you'd need to contrast your happiness/relationship against "BS's", as though your love can't stand on its own and only matters if you have an imagined set of "haters/BSs" in whose faces you can flaunt it.

If you'll read the veiled insults from Paper Angel, you'll understand.

If I had gone into the 'infidelity' forum and spouted how they couldn't keep their men, I would be flagged straight away. Yet Bs's feel it perfectly acceptable to come to the SUPPORT forum for OM/OW and berate. Low brow, if you ask me. If you are not here to be SUPPORTIVE, then find a forum that wants to be belittled. And I mean 'you' generally.

FOW here, previous relationships with several MM. All over 40. All professionally successful , summer home, boats, cars, two had planes. I didn't read the survey you referred to but in my experience....

Some men who have it all, even those who worked hard to earn it, just come to believe that having it all is so nice...they want more.

I am also a more recently former BS. My XH was the same kind of man.
