When I give the one I love an unexpected, slow and deeply passionate kiss. And then pull back slightly while gently caressing her cheek. Look directly into her eyes and whisper, "I love you". And her face turns completely red and whispers it back to me.

That, for me, is one of the greatest moments in a relationship. Perhaps one day I can experience this feeling again. But until then.....

I'd probably fall over dead if that happened. My life would be complete. :D

It's been different, each time. But I don't feel it in my tummy, I feel it in my heart. (corny, I know :().

The time when I was in the hospital in my twenties and my then boyfriend went with me and came into my hospital room during visiting hours. I was scared, disoriented. He walked through the door and saw me sitting there frightened, his eyes were filled with such tenderness, worry and care. I could see everything that he felt towards me in an instant, just by looking in his eyes. The feeling was indescribable.

With another person, not under any circumstances like the above, but he just looked at me a certain way at one point and in an instant, I felt my heart radiate with warmness and some sort of magnetic pull. Sometimes he would look at something a certain way, I found it so quirky and cute. And when I snuck a peek at him sleeping next to me, his face, everything about him made me go "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"!!! :bunny::love:

Those were both really sweet..

Since we're in corny-mode in this thread, I'll add that the eyes are the gateway to the soul.

Seriously, the eyes are incredibly expressive if you pay attention to them.

Carry on.. I want to hear more.

Thank you. :)

Sorry for the cornball experience. I do  the eyes though. So much communication is non-verbal it's pretty amazing when you think about it.

Well, there was this one time at band camp... And bleepity**bleep**bleep! [:bunny:insert butterflies:bunny:]

No need for an apology, I quite enjoyed reading the tales. ;)

There is indeed much to be said for non-verbal communication, It's unfortunate that many don't take the time to appreciate another's expressions, body language, eyes.

 I'm not sure how much of that tale provoked butterflies! Perhaps of a different kind.

I'll just add.... enjoy your youth. It's for the young. Butterflies included.

To add a more serious response to the topic, I'll add an excerpt from my journal, which is entitled, appropriately, 'Butterflies'.

"In response to a thread about feeling butterflies on/after a first date, I offer the following:

Quote:

How can you expect to have butterflies with people you have known for years?

You can. It all depends how you're wired and who the person is. I feel it right now, 23 years, 5 months and 13 days later. There was no date. She walked into my shop, we locked eyes and that was that. Read my journals for the rest of the mess. Even after all the mess, having it out (this year), saying we're incompatible, pointing out we're both in relationships, bla, bla, bla, it's still there, for both of us. I tell her "I can't explain it". She says "pressure in my chest". I nod, yep, affirmative..... Crappy thing just won't die.... "

Okay good, then my work is done here. :p

Ahh Carhill. Sounds more like hornets versus butterflies, 23 years?!

Happy thoughts coming your way. :)

The date of that LS journal was 29 August 2008, so a lot of water under the bridge since then.

I still get little twitches now and again, but dismiss it as a form of turrets. ;)

When a girl tilts her head down slightly so her eyes have to look up at me and she smiles like I'm the only guy that exists .

How about pouty faces? Your girl goes over to the opposite side of the room and folds her arms and puts on a pouty face. Then you walk over and put your smooth talk on her, and she tries her hardest to not smile and keep that pouty face on.

My ex use to do that sometimes. It was the cutest damn thing ever. It made my heart race. I couldn't stop myself from hugging the s**t out of her and telling her that I loved her. All while making her squirm in frustration because I was so darn charming to her.

 That's when I donkey punch him in the tummy.:laugh:

ETA: When you catch him taking a peek at you but you're not sure if it's because he thinks you're cute or if it's because you have a harvey nose clinger (a boogie).

Uhm.. Divasu.. You have a little something.. Nevermind.

Alright I'll contribute to this a little.

First kiss, that's a good one when you really fall for someone, and especially if you've waited awhile to kiss them (slow courting, was a friend that you fell for, etc.). Always that split second of "Is this even real?" followed by heart-racing little adrenaline spikes.

When a girl you're swooning over looks into your eyes and starts stumbling on her words as she says "I... I.. I love you.." for the first time.

The pouting one was good, especially if you throw some little kisses in there and they start to smile.

Usually a lustful look that says I want you and need you NOW! Seeing the urgency in his eyes and knowing he is absorbed with me

My first kiss with my ex was amazing. I waited so long to get that kiss. It was her first kiss ever, and she was...well, not a very good kisser (understandably). I remember telling her at one point that when we first kissed, I was kissing her teeth more than her lips. It was still amazing though, despite her lack of kissing prowess at the time. Needless to say, her kissing skills increased dramatically since that day.

Thank you.

Another one; The moment when you know that you have just given butterflies to the girl/guy that you love. That's an amazing feeling.

Aaawww...what a perfect thread!:)

Let's see:

When my boyfriend holds me, tells me how I mean the world to him, then kisses me on the forehead. (one of the best feelings ever!)

When he holds my face in both his hands, brushes my hair off my face, looks in my eyes deeply, and kisses me.

When I walk into the room, and he gets a look of pure horniness...:p

Thanks for starting the thread!:)

This. There is just something about kissing your girlfriend on her forehead while telling her how much she means to you that is so....awesome! For lack of a better word! It makes her blush and give you a cute smile. And she just wants to cuddle with you forever and never let go. It's a great feeling on the guy's end of it as well, Cutiepie. :)

Thanks for starting the thread!:)

You're welcome! :D

That's good... The time will come for you one day. :bunny::)

K!

Have you ever been out with each other and friends at the same time, and you're kind of mingling with a group of people but together. You keep glancing at each other from across the other people, sometimes you can't help yourself. And you just give each other, that...look. The noise, the people around you fades and goes quiet as you're looking at each other in the eyes, it becomes hypnotic. A million thoughts running through your head, stuck in a moment in time. Just the two of you.

Goooood times.

Good times indeed.

I'm gonna go a different way with the butterflies now. Kind of like imaginary butterflies.

When you lay in bed getting ready to sleep and you can't stop thinking about that special girl that will do all the things with you your ex did, but do it so much better. All the love she will give you. All the fun you will have. All the time you will spend together..... Oh god. I'm gonna stop now before I turn this post into something depressing.

I want these bad times to pass and those good ones to get here already. Shoo! Shoo! Your not wanted depressing feelings!

:bunny::bunny::bunny: Yay! Bunnies!! I love bunnies. Bunnies are the leading cause of 'butterflies'. Did you know that? They are the cause of 54% of butterflies in females and a whopping 78% in males. True story. :bunny::bunny::bunny:
