vogue81 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Hi everyone this is my first post here so bear with me:) So i met this guy in a seminar i attended 2-3 wks ago. He is an assistant there,he was my partner in an exercise. We had a small talk. He looked kind of nervous next to me but told me he had some interesting stuff in his life and some day he'd tell me about them. That night we added each other on FB (and everyone else in the seminar). He messaged me,small talk again,told me to let him know when i'm in his neighborhood coz we've got a lot to talk abt. After that i messaged him on the weekend but he was late in replies and didn't seem so keen to talk. One night he hugged everyone from our group,saw me but completely ignored me. But he was looking at me from a distance a couple of times. Next day i messaged him (again) he told me the same thing:let me know when you come over. So this week the same thing happened again,i told him i'll be around where he lives,he's like "let me know when bla bla". At last we agreed on thursday. But then yesterday night he ignored me in public within our group.He andi have different groups connected each other.Theyare the organizators and assistants,we are the fresh blood to their community. Anyways, sorry this is too long and stupid. I'm 32 for gods sake! Why is he doing this? If he's not interested why does he keep saying let me know when you come around?
todreaminblue Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 It is a little vague on what is going on with him i cant decipher anything actually,so I think the only one who knows is him ,you may have to bite theebullet and just ask him straight up, i don't condone ignorance at any time its an isolating thing to do to someone...... a very uncomfortable situation and awkward to handle for the person being ignored......i am however really down at the moment so my judgment is skewed...ill come back to you when i am thinking more rationally.....and can offer you soemthing more insightful and useful than speak to him and ask him straight up..i am the last one who should say bite the bullet ...i am the biggest avoidance girl out..best wishes for now see you on the other side of sanity hopefully.....deb

So? there is another way to look at this i guess, I avoid contact with a guy i am interested in, i have to work up to speaking to him, and if he shuts me down, nuclear mess.....kidding.....but I am shy around him because he has my attention i am conscious of him>I find it much easier to talk laugh joke around with people who dont make my heart race, when he is around ....well...not as cool calm and collected..more spaz..just a nervous wreck....he actually used to make me feel happy though......he has been a bit mean to me lately.......or am i am a big sook...probably both......so your friend might be shy..if he is a spaz like me...deb
