When I worked at a big retail store about 8 years ago I had two that we all hung out with. I like one and didn't like the other one. The one I liked didn't like me (never asked but could read she didn't) and the one I didn't like liked me lol. I don't really see the need for a female friend.

We were friends for two years. That entire time she knew I liked her. The reason why our friendship ended was because she finally realized that I would never stop wanting to date her and she had to eject me from her life. Friendzone basically means, "I know you like me. I don't want to date you and never will, but you are welcome to still be my friend" Friends first is, "I have some interest in dating you but something is making me unsure for now. Lets be friends and maybe something will happen that change my mind. Most likely we'll get drunk and have sex." 1
