curlygirl40 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I have seen this a handful of times, what the heck does it mean?? Are they talking hygiene here? Or no drugs maybe? Does anyone have a clue?
soccerrprp Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I have seen this a handful of times, what the heck does it mean?? Are they talking hygiene here? Or no drugs maybe? Does anyone have a clue? Likely in reference to drugs.
Lonely Ronin Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Are they talking hygiene here? Or no drugs maybe? Does anyone have a clue? I would guess no STD's... 2
iris219 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I would guess no STD's... Jinx! We must be LS soul mates.
Lonely Ronin Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Jinx! We must be LS soul mates. lol, anything is possible.
Treasa Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I want a guy who is extra extra extra clean, then. Just to have all of my bases covered. 1
Author curlygirl40 Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 ooooooh, I didn't even think of STD's. I was wondering if it meant drugs. All I know is that I took a shower this morning so I'm clean!! lol 1
runningfar Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I want a guy who is extra extra extra clean, then. Just to have all of my bases covered. Yeah never knew you had to state these things did you?
Treasa Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Yeah never knew you had to state these things did you? Sadly, no, until a couple of guys came along who were dirty, and not in the fun way.
sabre80 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 If they are referring to drugs (which I read as usually), I usually run the other way. Either they are a recovering addict and looking to stay away from stumbling blocks or they have a bad history with partners with drug problems. Either way its too much drama to get involved with a stranger over.
todreaminblue Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I have seen this a handful of times, what the heck does it mean?? Are they talking hygiene here? Or no drugs maybe? Does anyone have a clue? drugs and hygiene...so dilute bleach and add hot water stay away from needles and illicit drugs....ok forget the bleach...it stings a bit.hot water and add soap......deb
Author curlygirl40 Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 Thanks everyone. No, not a hook up site, I've seen it several times on Match actually. But I shower, and I don't do drugs, and I don't have STD's. So win/win/win. lol However I do wonder, like some of you suggested, that just feeling the need to state this (if referring to drugs) makes me wonder if there's a history there

Estate Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I have seen this a handful of times, what the heck does it mean?? Are they talking hygiene here? Or no drugs maybe? Does anyone have a clue? I'd imagine it means a virgin or close to it. I think only douchebags would say such things in this day and age. Like they are won't accept a girl who has been with another man.
tuxedo cat Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I think it's a very dickish thing to say, suggesting he thinks lots of women are sluts. Would immediately lose interest if I read that.
neveragain34 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Whatever it means, I'd steer clear of anyone who says this! Lol.
outsidethebox Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Given the source of someone who would list this as a requirement I won't swear on it, but I'm pretty sure it means no STD's. Versus I guess VD is welcome, I trust my condom. It's just typical goofy guy talk, like a clean car. What does that mean? Well it.doesn't mean you just took it through the carwash.
dasein Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Had a "it puts the lotion" moment reading the OP, but it's probably STD concerns, not Buffalo Bill.
Imajerk17 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) I am not sure. That is just out of the realm out of something I would say. Clean could mean: --classy --doesn't use drugs --STDs (EDIT: actually now that would be my first guess) --good hygiene --follows the Paleo diet--a "clean" diet (!) Any context? What did the rest of his profile say? EDIT: We all have dated people in the past who taught us what we are better off without. I think if you get to the phone call stage with this guy it's a fair question to ask him what he means by "clean". Edited March 26, 2013 by Imajerk17
Mme. Chaucer Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 It's probably a typo. He really wants a cleaning woman.
Author curlygirl40 Posted March 26, 2013 Author Posted March 26, 2013 You guys are funny. Thanks for your responses. I haven't actually been interested in any of these guys that write that so I haven't asked. It would be funny to e-mail them and ask them and then put their responses here. lol After hearing your input, I'm thinking clean from drugs or no STD's is probably what they mean. If I ever get a chance, I will ask. 1
