garand Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Im trying to understand this and move on we broke up 8 months ago(after dating 8 mos) she is 40 im 48 she has 2 kids and I have two . she hooked up with a guy from hs. he had been divorced 2 mos no kids.(she had been divorced 10 mos) he moved right in the day we broke up! (we didnt live together) I didnt move fast enough I guess. she called to tell me she getting married. 3 days after telling me that she did no engagement.( she told me " see I told you you dont let a girl like me getaway") he has no home or kids stays there all day at her house while she works. the best part we are neighbors!! I really liked her . I just wished her the best on the phone. the whole thing just seems odd. thanks for any insight
JungleViking Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Honestly I'd say you dodged a bullet here. I can't fathom why someone would ever say something as hurtful as that if they cared about them. Let her become his problem, It's unfortunate that you live so close to them because it may be more difficult for you to cope with it, but in time you'll probably realize it was for the best that this happened. Chin up my man, there are much better ones out there. 1

Why don't we have a theory on people who date someone months/ years and then marry/ get pregnant to a rebound? I think you dodged a bullet. Did she tell you she is getting married to rub salt in your wound? Whenever I mention I would love to do the same to someone who dumped me cruelly, everyone on here says don't do it!

Author garand Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 yep she broke up with me in my front yard then he moved in with her and her 2 kids until her ex got a court order so he couldnt stay past 10:00 at night . they had known each other since high school .my friends are baffled also.for the first months after she would text me.. I only wanted to be with you etc and that the bf is very insecure about me . the only time they are not together is when she is at work .she called him her shadow lol guess she got use to it
