ladyinthemts Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Does anyone have experience getting phone records? I want to see the text conversation my H had with WO. I have Verizon Wireless.
Decorative Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Does anyone have experience getting phone records? I want to see the text conversation my H had with WO. I have Verizon Wireless. You cannot see the text conversations in a printout from Verizon Wireless, unless it is under a court order for a criminal situation, is how it was explained to me. But depending on the phone, there are ways to retrieve information from the device. 1
ComingInHot Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 the texts Could be deleted off the phone but Not of his simm card. Maybe swap out simm card? Replace it. They are usually found beneath the battery. Then take to computer or Maybe Verizon store and AK for printout or download off everything on card including calendar event reminders. If everything has been deleted from trash, then there may be nothing to retrieve... Good luck* 2
Author ladyinthemts Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 Well, then I don't know what to do. I'm basically stuck in a "he said, she said" situation. I've only seen a handle full texts between them from during the A period, mostly questionable (can go with either story). My H's story barely lines up with the OW's story. The stories conflict almost completely. And she tells a different story to each person she talks to. And I have no physical proof of either one's story. She does says crazy stuff that doesn't make any sense at all, but some of it is questionable. In a no trust situation, who do I believe? It's ridiculousness! I wish I could see their conversations... Would make things easier, maybe? I hate my life right now. I'm basically taking a huge leap of faith. I told my husband I have no real reason to believe him. I mean, I love him. He apologized. He stopped all contact with her and told me anytime she tried to contact him. And I check all his accounts randomly without telling him...so he hasn't contacted her since a few days after D-Day... But I care about what he was saying and doing during the affair period, you know? And I don't trust him. And I don't trust her... :*(

And I don't trust her... :*( It sounds like you have been in contact with his lover, so maybe she would be willing to show you the texts? To prove that she wasn't lying? I know you probably don't want a lot to do with her, but if he has deleted them, maybe she hasn't. And, if you told her that you don't necessarily believe her, she might be willing to show you if she is telling the truth. If she is acting unstable, I wouldn't engage with her at all - but she may be your only hope in seeing those texts. I'm sorry you are in such a miserable place, hope it gets sorted soon.
Decorative Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) Even with court orders, I don't think the actual conversations are possible to get. A friend works for a cell company and says the content of texts are impossible to obtain. I would totally believe that. It was explained to me by a Verizon employee that Verizon keeps texts for a very brief period of time, then deletes. I was told 6-10 days worth of history She said it is mostly utilized in criminal situations- and I would assume the court order is issued immediately. http://hack-igations.blogspot.com/2011/10/how-to-recover-deleted-phone-text-and.html?m=1 I would assume it would not be the case for this type of situation. ComingInHot Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Lafyinthemts, I Know. I know exactly, and I am so sorry. What may I ask is your H doing and not doing to show you he is being honest now. Today. Trust is earned. He now needs to earn it. So does respect. Now let me ask this... Are you ready to kick him out if he needs "time" to find the clarity he needs to truly choose where and who he was to be with? 3
AnotherRound Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 This is a good idea if you're willing to talk to her and she's willing to talk to you. I have every email he's ever sent me and I haven't deleted any of my text messages in the last year, not on purpose but because I'm not hiding them so I just don't bother. Same. I am terrible about not deleting texts - until my phone tells me I have a gazillion and am out of memory, lol. So, I have months and months. I just thought that if the OW wants to prove that she is telling the truth, she might be willing to share those texts...
Author ladyinthemts Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 @Anotherround: I was in contact briefly, she was such a total b*tch to me. She wouldn't even let me talk and was harassing us, so I had to block her for a few months. She tried to go to one of my friends to get to me, and my friend said she wanted to ask me...well, terrible mean things that wouldn't resolve anything. One thing she wanted to ask me was why I was so fat. (Note: I'm not fat. Like, really.) My friend asked to see text messages and the ones she showed him as "proof" didn't really prove anything. They were texts like, "Good morning" and "I hope you're having a better day." -- That was her proof to him of the affair. No joke. @Cominginhot: As soon as I found out about the affair, I left him for days, ignored his phone calls/texts. I told him them that if he wanted to be with her to go to her. He didn't. (I would randomly drive by the house and check the phones records and stuff to watch their contact together.) Since then, he's done everything possible to win me back. She's tried to get to him twice (by showing up randomly to places we're at) and he shuts her down very time. So, I think he's chosen. So...I think if she has anything like texts she's hiding them 'cause they would incriminate her? I don't know. BTW, she's married as well. I believe her way less than I believe him, but it's still a grey area.
2sunny Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I'm sure there's an app that allows retrieval. I've heard others say they used one. Google it... Retreiving deleted texts
