Have I become his buddy or is there any potential?

Many of you would say don't get involved romantically at work. I quite agree.

 

There's this guy at work. We get on great, have lots of laughs, talk about a lot of things, have each other's back at work. I've noticed him checking me out and most of his body language shows he's comfortable with me.

 

He's not going to stay at his job for long so it would be great if we get to date after he leaves.

 

But I'm getting some difficulty deciding whether I've become his buddy, someone that he likes (but not like like), or he sees potential but we just don't go further because we're coworkers now.
