Author joey.101 Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 yeh you are right there. we are pretty different in that regard. We're both Christian from Christian family and she holds a lot of importance on that. I do as well but i have slipped in the preceding years lacking discipline. She needs to see that i succeed now and she wants to see it as she wants me. I think you are getting a good idea of the situation now.
Author joey.101 Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 i'd love to continue chatting. i'll be back later.
Emilia Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 And what did you study and occupation? you are extremely helpful to me. Yeh i'm aware of things, aware of things that don't make sense. knowing how to act is the trick. I am off for now but will be back later. it was lovely chatting with you. I don't give away too much here because it's a public forum but I studied financial economics and I'm an Analyst - as is probably unsurprising from my more serious posts. Glad you find the posts helpful, it was lovely talking to you too

Ah then probably I'm not the most impartial person to seek advice from. I'm an atheist, I find Christianity too controlling for my tastes. Are you two German by any chance? TheGuard13 Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Girls who like theatre tend to like drama. It's pretty much that simple.
Emilia Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Girls who like theatre tend to like drama. It's pretty much that simple. A very bizarre and inaccurate observation if I may say so. Theatre is about intellectual enjoyment and usually goes hand in hand with education
Author joey.101 Posted March 23, 2013 Author Posted March 23, 2013 Ah then probably I'm not the most impartial person to seek advice from. I'm an atheist, I find Christianity too controlling for my tastes. Are you two German by any chance? Ha no not German. Yeh Christianity is very faith focused and not relying on your own understanding, which is the most challenging thing about it i think. The worst thing is people fall into the mindset that they have a right to make judgements of other people and it destroys the perception of people inside and outside of what it's all about. The pastors really emphasise against such dysfunctional behaviours. I was half expecting you to say psychologist as an occupation. That sounds like a very respectable role what you do.
TheGuard13 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 A very bizarre and inaccurate observation if I may say so. Theatre is about intellectual enjoyment and usually goes hand in hand with education Technically not really, since "theatre" is a form of "drama". It was a pun of sorts. Theatre is about many things. It has been my experience that women who are really into theatre also enjoy the more dramatic elements of life, even the more intellectual elements of said drama.

tbf Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 No...why would you think that? What is theater and what are movies? What's TV? They're all forms of entertainment. It's similar to saying that any guy who plays video games will be physically violent in real life. 1
TheGuard13 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Except that it's not. If you think theatre is just "entertainment", then you have a woeful understanding of what draws people who are serious about it to the art in the first place.

Do you think it's because they're violent? As far as the girl described in the OP, it sounds like she's not looking for a relationship of equals. She appears to enjoy the upper hand.
Author joey.101 Posted March 23, 2013 Author Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) Yeh, theatres are so good i love the talent and music especially. I also love killin on FC3, arma3 alpha, BF ... - i've never been in a serious physical fight in my life. maybe i'm abnormal in that sense. Yeh i do agree she does enjoy the upper hand. I've had that conversation about her controlling me so at least she's honest about it. It's driven by fear that i'll break her heart but i just try and make her see that too much control will not let me be who i am.. and the arguments seem very much mood dependent. Thanks for the input Edited March 23, 2013 by joey.101

I think they are predominantly about control - but that's another conversation. I was half expecting you to say psychologist as an occupation. That sounds like a very respectable role what you do. Just too much time on LS It's an ok job really, sounds grander than it is. Keep us updated please. If you think what you are looking for is more personality related than simply relationship advice, there are other forums here too that are more concerned with self improvement.
