lovely221 Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Tonight I worked with my ex. It was the first time I've had ANY contact with him in almost 2 weeks. The last time we talked things didn't go so well. Tonight at work I ignored him, but caught him staring at me a few times. He really didn't talk to me, but that's ok I guess. The funny thing is when he left work I told another girl we work with(who we're both friends with)that I thought it was funny that he didn't talk to me. She then goes "Yea he came up to me and said "So has she said anything?"(referring to me). She told him No. So my question is why does he care if I've said anything to her or not?
uriel Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Could mean he's still interested in you or it could mean it's bugging his ego that you aren't still expressing interest in him. Whatever it is, you won't know until down the road. Keep playing it cool. It's working either way . -- uriel
Scott S Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 This is THE most convincing argument for not getting romatically involved with co-workers.
prevch Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 this is why no contact works so well. It hurts peoples egos. When they think you want to have nothing to do with them that want you more than ever damn wish I would've done no contact for a long time
Author lovely221 Posted September 10, 2004 Author Posted September 10, 2004 Thanks everyone for your replies! I just started no contact with my ex about two weeks ago. We've been broken up for close to 3 months and finally decided to go no contact route. I have had absolutely nothing to do with him since then and I've honestly felt better!
beautiful Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Lovely........................the person you should ask is him! No one on thisboard or anywhere else can give oyu the answer! I feel you going through way tomuch drama...........whenit is over it is simply over! Take care of you and find the right person, and when you do , you will not go through all this drama!
backspn Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Who broke up with who? Why did you guys break up? We need more info. From what I can read without who did what to who is that he is just testing the waters to see if you miss him or not....dont show it. Talk to him like your just a co-worker. If you ignore him at work then you're letting him know that he still gets to you. Be normal....like you never knew him.
Author lovely221 Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 I'm posting my story on a thread titled "My Story(it's long)" Please go take a look and give me your thoughts.

When they think you want to have nothing to do with them that want you more than ever damn wish I would've done no contact for a long time I do not believe that discontinuing contact with an ex lover is intended to be a game, or a means by which to exact ones revenge, or to attempt to assume a position of authority. As to the author of this thread: There are numerous reasons as to why this ex boyfriend might have asked about you. Perhaps he was expecting you to say something horrible. Maybe he does find it bothersome that you are paying him no mind. I suppose that if you truly want to find out his reasonings, you will have to ask him. It probably is not so important that you know why he asked your friend about you. I think it is always a bad idea to become involved with a co-worker. I have never seen such relationships turn out in a desirable way.
