Ok so my bf has an instagram i'm fine with that but then he has this other thing ask.fm, where anonymous people get to ask questions. 90% of his answers he gives are hilarious and they're funny they're not seriously thought of. When people ask are you single, do you have a gf? he says yes he's single and no to the gf question. I asked him about this and he said "baby it's a joke and I answer those questions sarcastically" Yesterday he was over and I'm like let me see your instagram and he did, like he signed in and showed me, he didn't hide it but I keep thinking he's suspicious.

As silly as it might seem to some to get upset about responses on a social networking site, both his behaviour and his explanation seem insensitive and disrespectful to me.

There is nothing "sarcastic" about telling people, albeit random internet strangers, that you are single and that you don't have a girlfriend.

He knows that you are not happy. I don't think this is necessarily a breaking up offence on its own. However, if he continues to portray himself as single to everyone else in his life and/or he shows signs of not respecting your feelings, it adds up to one big red flag, in my opinion.

What is funny about I am single joke? Nothing. Tell him that you don't find this funny and that you would like him to tell truth about this particular question. And if you need to tell him more than 3 times and he still won't listen then give him ultimatum. And be serious about it. I was in relationship where gf controlled my whole life and on the end she talked to guy she met at her job about sex and she didn't find anything wrong with it. And I wasn't allowed to watch films so there wouldn't be naked woman in them...
