LICOFE Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Hi guys, I'm 21 and I have never dated a girl before so as you might imagine, my self esteem is not exactly sky high. Ok, so there's this girl that I really like and she really likes me (well at least she used to). Anyways, I have had so many opportunities to ask her out in the past but I chickened out every time due to my lack of confidence. Then I sent her flowers but I think she thought that freaky. Now I have more courage to ask her out but she keeps ignoring my advances. Is she turned off me because she's just given, does she think I am a weirdo or is she playing hard to get? Help/advice anyone?
gaius Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Have I blown it? Probably. Women find it insulting if you have a chance with them and don't take it. They want someone who will go for it when given the opportunity. Doing indirect stuff like sending flowers instead of straight up asking them out is a big turn off too. Oh well, live and learn. None of us are born knowing exactly how to woo.
mortensorchid Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I agree with Gaius. You should directly ask her rather than giving such a token before. Unless it said on the card "I want to have a date with you soon". Has she responded at all? 1

Apolodor Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 At this point it would be safe to assume that nothing will happen betweeen the two of you.... Since you mentioned you are not very confident right now: NEVER ask a girl on a date by texting her, that's another big turnoff. Flowers and gifts are very nice, but ONLY once you are in a relationship with that person! (you should have googled "sending flowers anonymously to a crush" -- there is plenty of advice out there).
