buzzie2 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Do guys like girls who make the first move, or do they prefer to be the ones doing the pursuing? I am asking because I asked a guy out who had been showing interest, and now he is acting all weird around me, like nervous. The reason I asked him out first is because he was shy and never made the first move so I figured that I would. We had been flirting for months. Now I am thinking that it was a huge mistake and should have waited for him to ask me out. After I asked him out he gave me his number and told me to call, but when I called him, he never got back to me. Now whenever he sees me he looks embarrassed and apologizes for not calling me and says he was busy. Did I make a mistake?
mortensorchid Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Well, I cal tell you this about women who do the chasing and make the first move. They won't invest much time and energy into the whole situation to begin with. This guy may come off as nervous and shy and whatnot, but remember he is probably not so much when it comes to other things in his life. And if he is nervous and shy about other things, then he is not worth his salt at all. Move on if you can.
Object_a Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 It's the 21st century. It's perfectly acceptable for a girl to ask a guy out first. It sounds to me like he is either shy or just isn't that into you but is reluctant to say so.
ImperfectionisBeauty Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I personally try not to do it but if I am into someone who cares
fortyninethousand322 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I'm suspicious. Like I don't know what her agenda, what she's really after.
Eternal Sunshine Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I think, yes please. I make moves on Castle all the time. It's working out well :bunny: 1
