Unlucky7 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 My best friend of many years met and married my sister. They had a dysfunctional marriage for 3 years without kids then divorced. We remained the best of friends throughout it all... however, My brotherly love for him has grown into more in recent weeks. We never flirted, touched or anything during the first 10!years of our friendship and during my sisters relationship with him... He really was just my friend and there were no romantic feelings. But now I think he's perfect for me and I love him. I'm so torn between wanting my own happiness and the possibility of hurting my sister/family and even ruining a friendship with my absolute best friend. Is it totally wrong or ok to embark upon a relationship with him?

Ask your sister how she would feel about it, as hard as that might seem to be to do It's really the only way to get an idea of how pursuing him would effect your relationship with her. Be aware that if your sister had problems with him, you might too.
