I find it hard to get quality women to take interest. I could get more dates if I dropped my standards, but I wont do that. You seem to ignore that certain types of people, especially minorities, get downright ignored on OLD. Especially when you consider that its 90%plus white in OLD and that OKC has legit stats that show people are less open to IR dating online.

I have changed it up numerous times. My messages are fine, so is my profile. Ive had many people look it over. And Im not Shrek either. Instead of you reading this thread and possibly acknowledging that I have a point, you just try and paint me as another bitter LS guy. Far from it dude. I have no reason to be bitter. Its not like Im going years without getting laid like some guys here.

Youre still ignoring the fact that many people use profile stats (race, height, weight, etc) to skip over people before ever getting to the coffe date.

I am a European living in America. I don't naturally fit in. I'm not the same as everyone around me, my background, beliefs, interests, etc... are all different, but I do just fine because I make changes and work with what I've got instead of looking for excuses!

 

Race is not an issue! It's an issue because you are all making it that way. How many times a day do we go through the same thing here? Some guys is Asian, or African or Latino or whatever else and says that the reason he can't get women but there are millions of people of his own race EVERYWHERE! And people are not as racist as you all insist.

 

If you meet a 2 blonde haired blue eyed girls... one will want someone just like her, the other may prefer someone more exotic... it's not a general thing!

 

People can filter on all sorts of things on OLD, race, religion, education, job, salary, kids, etc.... because it helps people find what they are looking for!

 

About changing it up.... well how many times? As many times as it takes!!!

I'm half Asian and I'm having a great time with OLD. Dates with 3 white women and 1 black woman - would have been 2 but I lost interest as my options grew. I've seen the stats that Asian men have it worst of all and though I tend to agree, I think race is a minor factor in the grand scheme of things.

That seems to be the cure all when it comes to race. Usually someone that's not a minority says something like "date your own!", or "date other races!"

 

Why? I like all women, and that includes white ones. If I want to date one, that's it. I'll go after one. My race should not play a role in who I'm allowed to be attracted to, nor should it play a role in which girls decide to date me, but sadly, it does, and this is especially true when it comes to OLD.

Im going to share my one and only OLD experience because it is late, I can't sleep and I don't give a fuhh.

 

Two years ago I joined POF because I am a busy guy with no time to frequent bars or nightclubs. I get messaged from a twenty somethings blonde who's profile pictures consisted of sunny days on the river, wearing daisy duke shorts and bikini tops. Like most horny guys I thought, I would totally bone this gal.

 

After several exchanged messages, I got tired of the idle conversation, and gave her my cell number. A few nights later I finished work on a Monday evening when I get a text message from this girl who asks if I'd like to meet up for a late dinner. I figured, what the heck, it couldn't hurt anything. So I got in my truck and drove 30 miles to her town of dumpy Ogden, Utah.

 

Plugged in the directions to my cellmaphone's GPS and on my way I go. On the way I'm thinking about her profile pictures. What she looked liked, what she may sound like. How nice her butt looked in those daisy duke shorts and how tight her midsection was. I was gonna score, or try at least.

 

I arrive at her condo. It is snowing outside at this point, so I turn the heat up. Popped a mint in my mouth and go to her door. I get out and ring her door bell. When the door opened, this rather large woman jolts about. My eyes get rather large as well. Greeted with a big "hayyyyyyy!!!!!" She hugs my neck and almost chocked me out.

 

1. This was not the same woman in the profile pictures. This woman was a brunette. Quite the BBW (no offense to BBW's). My point is that, she was clearly not the woman. She talked and talked and I managed to get a few "uh-huh's" in there. She suggested a sushi restaurant near by.

 

At this point I am thinking, Okay. At least it's a little late, at the worst I meet a new person and have sushi. Lets do this.

 

When we arrive at this sushi joint. We were the only two in there since it is a late Monday night, and the waitress arrived with our waters. Immediately, this girl orders two mango rolls to get started. The date ensues with her talking about her job, her day, etc. 15 minutes of this continues when our waitress brings the two mango rolls on this plate and takes the rest of our order. My date, orders 3 extra rolls, and I order one vegas roll. To add more visual, this girl was wearing a big hoodie, and her hair was pulled back tight in a knot. Stonewashed bedazzled jeans with white Keds shoes, those ones with the thick two inch soles.

 

I am awkwardly sitting there listening to her talk about her abusive ex boyfriend, her parents, her siblings. All with a full mouth. She had soy sauce spatter on her hoodie, just under her chins. She was spitting bits of gleaming rice on the table from talking too much. The only thing entertaining so far, was that she murdered 5 rolls. I had about 3 pieces of my roll when she suggested "are you going to finish those? Cause ya' can't take home sushi!" Oh yeah, she took a bad cellphone picture to update her facebook with too.

 

Now at this point it is north of 10 p.m., and I am relieved. I am relieved that I live so far away from this girl, and this town. And I am relieved that the date is nearing it's end. The snow was starting to come down harder. Let me get her home.

 

I pull in her driveway and she lets me know that she feels a strong connection and that she'd love to see me again. Being koi, I let her know "sure sounds good". She then reached over and grabbed my face. Turned it towards hers and she kisses me with her sloppy sushi breath lips. But I don't know what was worse, that or her man hands. They were the size of catchers mitts. No sh*t.

 

"Okay then well I've got to go now...." Awkward silence as she's looking at me with a menacing stare. She then takes her hoodie off and jumps on my lap and all I saw at the moment were two large breasts with ghost nipples, and what appeared to be a sun tattoo or a ninja star-pending on how her folds shifted around her belly button. Nope no bra.

 

I tucked my hands under her sweaty arm pits and lifted her off. I let her know that I don't move that fast-----sorry.

 

Oh this pissed her off. I could tell by this thick inconvenienced look on her face as she was getting her hoodie on. I apologized again. She rolls down the passenger window down and gets out of my truck. Slams the door and starts screaming. "F*** YOU!! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY GUYS WOULD KILL....FOR THIS!!! (she's gesturing her body up and down with her hand). Followed by several, several profanities.

 

Right now I am sitting in my truck. I rewind for a moment. Replaying the evening. I took this girl out for dinner. Listened to her problems. And now she's screaming at me. I stare at my dash in a daze for a few minutes. I put the truck into reverse and look forward for a second when I see her on her knees in front of her door step with her head resting against the door. I could tell she was crying....I pause for a second and apart of me is thinking, dude, just leave. But no, I pull forward and get out to see what's wrong. I am thinking that this girl is double crazy and it's snowing outside. I don't want to be held responsible for anything wrong that could potentially happen.

 

When I approached her. She was crying yes, and she told me that she locked her keys inside her condo. And that her room mates were in Salt Lake City, and her family lives out of state. Thinking ah sh***, alright. Calm down. Lets call a locksmith and get him on the way.

 

So after a brief google search on her phone she calls the locksmith. Being almost midnight at this point, and entering Tuesday morning. The locksmith was 45 out.

 

I mean I had to invite her to sit in the warm truck there was no other choice. The awkwardness was incredibly thick and I couldn't stand it. So I struck more idle conversation on how neat her condo was. Basically making her feel comfortable again. We were listening to loveline on the radio where she became comfortable again to start talking and talking.

 

Yeah she got comfortable. Comfortable enough to get rowdy, and thought it would be fun to "YOLO". She takes her hoodie off and started doing a chinese fire drill topless around my truck. I see headlights and relief has come my way. The locksmith is here.

 

She freaks out and tries to open the passenger door but it's locked. Mr. locksmith is grinning from ear to ear. i unlocked the door where she got her goodie back on.

 

They are at the door and he is working and she has her arms folded fidgeting because it's cold. Door opens and I give them a final wave, on my way back home I need to go.

 

This long story isn't over yet. Locksmith guy hollers at me. Says she can't pay for the service. I told him that wasn't my problem and that this was the very last time I will ever be seeing this girl. She ran to her bathroom to poop during this conversation. Very pissed off he was, very happy I was to see a highway back to my destination.

 

In the end I had to change my cell phone number after several calls, texts, and voicemails from this woman.

Read the OKC blog I provided. Then youll see why OKC works for someone like you...and not for me. over 90 percent of the people on those sites look like you, and the majority of those women prefer a guy that looks like you. So spare me.

My profile is fine. My friends and people here can attest to it. And my messages are far better than what most guys send on OLD. But you keep ignoring an important part. If you dont pass a girls looks test, and her status test as well, she wont reply to your message.

Being an attractive person doesnt mean automatic replies on OLD. Especially if youre an attractive guy whos still not a girls top pick. Because of the amount of messages a girl gets, she can afford to wait out for her top pick.

Keep ignoring reality buddy. Its not uncommon for people to date way different people in real life, than those they reply to online. Plenty of women on this site will tell you this. I jsut reactivated my acct after a 3 month break. I got responses from 2 out of 7 messages, which is good by OLD standards lol! One disappeared already though and still talking to the other. I did get a message from a woman and she messaged me the same message that women seem to HATE, "How are you?". Now how do you explain than? Women hate those messages becuse they are bulk/canned but the ones who do inititiate use the same message lol.

That message sounds like it was written by a robot. You had an opportunity to showcase yourself and you didn't take it. Next time you should comment on something in the profile you like, ask about it, definitely use some humor where applicable, and show your personality. Saying "we have similar interests, so let me know" is just phoning it in.

I've seen tons of studies on this. People would set up profiles of average and in some cases really below average women and within a week they would have dozens and in some cases hundreds of messages

 

Then they set up a profile of a average man and in some cases above average man and within a week he'll have one or 2 messages....Maybe:laugh:

Chex, if you're confused it's because you don't know much about it. Nigerian scammers are almost all men and the scams on men are by men pretrending to be women, not just OLD but all scams. In fact this is probably true for almost all anonymous scams. Women do not tend to be large scale internet scammers. If they are dishonest it's on a more personal scale.
