It's no secret 'round these parts that I'm kind of a trainwreck, but I'm trying to salvage my life the best I can. I want to do something everyday to improve myself and my circumstances but sometimes I slip up. So I'm starting a thread where we can all post one thing everyday that we've done to solve major problems we're facing or just to make ourselves a better person generally. Hopefully, with some public scrutiny and peer pressure we can keep eachother accountable.

Since I'm the OP, I guess I'll start us off. Today I raised the weight of my dumbbells to 12.5 lbs from 10. Doesn't sound like much, but I let my strength training habits slip over the past two weeks or so and the extra weight make the dumbbells feel like elephants. :p

Baby steps are important. And so is celebrating! Even if someone else that step doesn't seem like much, it does make a hell of a difference to the person accomplishing their task!

Nothing really accomplished today, but I will post tomorrow.

I like this thread! Great idea.

Today I studied a lot of health insurance information and responded to my ED thread. I've tentatively resolved to go see a doctor within the next two weeks or so to help work through the relevant medical problems.

I've verified more of the health insurance information I needed to look at, reinforcing my confidence that I can go see a doctor about my erectile dysfunction issues.

Surely in an active forum dedicated to self improvement I'm not the only one taking steps to put it into practice! This isn't a private thread, you should tell us about your daily progress. We can root each other on!

Hi all!, I've been going to the gym almost daily and it helps a lot! I went out yesterday with a fairly new friend for a coffee! I have returned to therapy which is also a huge plus! I have also just started a new type of therapy with a different therapist for what's called neurotherapy to help with my ocd!

It's important to me to stay as busy as possible because when I'm sitting around doing nothing I think too much about the ex! I also get restless sitting home!

I haven't had a lot of time to post in this topic, but I've still been working on my self improvement quest! Lately I've upped the weight I'm lifting to 15 lbs. I also upped my regular stationary biking to 375. Today I was feeling extra energetic and broke the 400 barrier for the first time since I started trying to improve my fitness over two years ago!

What have you done today to improve yourself?
