I met this guy online a few months ago. I'm 24, and he's 28. We started talking by Skype and our conversations were always relaxing and enjoyable. I found him to be attractive, physically and personality-wise. We have been talking a lot recently, around an hour or more each night. Since there's a 2 hour difference between our countries I stay awake to chat with him by video. I really enjoy our conversations and he's really friendly. He likes to joke around and tease me. We laugh a lot and seem really comfortable with each other. He has said he likes to talk with me. When we were talking this morning he asked of my tastes/preferences in men. He seemed sincere, and told me he would just listen while I talked. I tried to be as honest as possible. I worry that I'm reading too much into things, and that he's just being friendly. I would like to get to know him more intimately but I don't want to reveal myself and make things awkward for us.

Any and all advice is genuinely appreciated. Thanks!

He sounds interested in getting to know you, which of course is a good sign!

I'd try to find out more about him and his life and take it very slowly, of course. Ask him about his job, family, any possible relationships/significant others (unfortunately always a possibility, especially when you've never met this person and he's in an entirely different country)

Enjoy getting to know him, and see where it goes.

yea, a new found love can easily be distracting.. if that makes sense. I, myself am in the same boat. Just take it slow. If it is meant to be the both of you will know when it is right to move onto the next step.
