I broke up with my ex approx 2 months ago in a calm and friendly manner. We texted each other on FB from time to time and 1 month ago she started to answer very slowly and short. So afterwards I stopped to initiate the conversation with her and after a 2 week period with a few messages from her (and my short answers) or so she started to message me every day and her messages are quite long.

She asked me, if I could come to her to a lunch maybe. I said fine, I can do that. Afterwards she came with another plan - we should go to the gym and afterwards we will go to a dinner. She asked me, if she can bring her (girl)friend or maybe two, because her friends asked her if they can come with us (big red flag). I am not sure, if they will be with us only in the gym, but I hope so. She told me, that I can go to the gym with her every week if I want.

The big problem is, that she lives approx 100km/60 miles away, so the trip will cost me quite few € and the whole day of time (I am still a student). Does she want only some friend who will train with her, ie. I am friendzoned and I will just loose my time and money on her while getting nothing out of it?

Would it be crazy to just ask her through FB what she actually wants from me (relationship/or if I am friendzoned?) so I wont waste my whole day and € to travel to her city? I dont like discussing such things through messages, but I also dont like the idea of wasting my hard earned money...

Yes. don't waste your time...ask her.

Definitely. I'd come in with sincere concern and ask if everything was ok. I mean, if she broke up with you, I'd be puzzled by the request. Just be prepared for the worst and realize that you may be starting the heal all over again.

I hope it's all in your favor. Good luck.
