Says he likes me but blows me off

I hit it off with this guy we text all the time we hang out all the time. He tells me how much he really likes me we even discuss how he is okay with me having a child he was raised by a step parent. I personally really like this guy he seems like a good person, he brings out the best in me. He came over one night and we ended up having sex. I was a little let down I thought he didnt believe in sex until marriage but he talked to me about it afterwards said he regretted it im only the second person he had sex with and he knows i have had a long term relationship and obviously a kid. I was under the impression he liked me not just for sex because he came over when he knew I had a cold sore and we couldnt even make out, I told him I had my period he still came over just to watch movies. He has taken me out to eat a couple times. Slowly our text conversations stopped. Unless I initiated them he wouldnt text for days and then we would see each other at work. We both are servers and we spend the whole shift not talking or making eye contact. I would try to joke with him, and he will occasionally come up to me and ask whats up. He will walk in and touch my hip as he walk by and then not say a word to me the entire shift. I got tired of asking him to hang out after he blew me off four separate times. We finely hung out a week ago and he came over we didnt have sex we just watched a movie and made out. He told me he liked me a whole lot everything about me, I pointed out he didnt act like it, and he mentioned he would pay me more attention. He left and text me asking if I thought it was wrong we had sex before marriage. I like to think he really cares about that. I told him I think we should have waited or tried harder to wait. He doesnt text me now I like him I try not to text him but I do and he will usually text back but not all the time, unless I ask a specific question he lets the coversation end. He still acts like were not friends at work. Im just really confused. I like him im trying not to text him or call him and just act non chalant but it is hard I dont understand why he says he likes me but blows me off.

First off you had a kid when you were not married, and you put out on the first date... this is the pot calling the kettle black, don't you think? double standards? This guy probably has mixed feelings for you. A part of him probably likes you, he wants to have sex with you... but at the same time maybe he doesn't like the double standard you hold him too, and or maybe he is not ready to be a daddy, and just wants to have sex and fun (which is most likely the case). I would say move along, and try to find a new guy... if you want the new guy to respect you, then for your sake don't put out on the first date. At the same time, when dating a guy don't expect him to wait until you two are married, this is the 21st century, and most guys don't think that way... also, you have a kid, so most guys would probably be like WTF in that situation... However, wait a little bit, so that way you can weed out guys who want to just sleep with you and guys who like you. Guys who like you will wait and try to work for it, guys who just want to screw will work for it for a time but wont wait too long. As that saying goes, why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?
