My friend who is dating the 35 and 36 year old thinks that this guy will no longer want to date her because she doesn't have a job. This guy himself does have a job but has the following;

No high school diploma

Doesn't speak English

Only has had 1 job

So my friend keeps thinking that this guy is going to leave her. She herself has been applying and looking for work. She also went to Everest College to become a dental assistant and got a degree. But since she's fresh out of college as of April 2012 she has no experience working within a dental office. So how is she suppose to get hired with no experience?

Huh?

Is this a dating query, or a job application?

Umm.. ok

Well I'll try...

If she's out of college in April 2012, that's not 'fresh', it's almost 12 months.

So if she's been searching for dental assistant work since then and has had no luck, then it's time to find something different.

As for the relationship stuff, well, maybe she should just ask if her not having a job right now is a problem for him.

That's about all I've got. Your original post is confusing, and doesn't give much to work with.

Then she should get a job?

Or get knocked up and have his baby so he stays with her and pays for everything.

Or, I dunno, ask him if it's a problem?

Maybe as time goes on and she remains unemployed he might review her desirability as a long term partner, but I guess he must be fine with it in the short term since he is still with her. Her motivation for getting a job should not be, 'so my bf wont leave me' though. As long as he sees her making a decent go of finding employment (and that means seriously considering other work in the meantime to get by while looking for her dental assistant job imo) then he will feel better that she wont be content being a moocher for the rest of her life.
