They were basic, just says who I am, what I do, what part of the country I live in, yada yada. The next couple of letters where mainly about my family, kids, house and traditions. I really didn't start opening up to her until about a year and a half ago. So it'll be a while until Carole gets to the stuff we need to discuss. I'll keep ya posted.

Author Moose Posted September 20, 2004 Author Posted September 20, 2004 Well, our relationship is going well. Right now Elena is still waiting on her visa to be approved. My wife has read probably the first year's worth of emails. So far she hasn't gotten upset at me for anything Elena wrote and sees that it's a harmless friendship. There were a couple of letters where Elena gave me some advice on how to handle some situations with my marriage, but Carole agreed with most of them. She did say that it bothered her that she wasn't all that she was suppossed to be in our relationship and for that she's sorry. So, so far so good. I did ask Elena to post pone her visit, that my wife wants to read all of our emails to get to know where are friendship is. She wrote back to tell me that it could be months before she gets a visa anyway, so no problem. Ooops, I forgot, there was one email that Elena wrote right after she broke up with her boyfriend. She told me that she wished there where men in her country like me. That she could tell where my heart is and how caring I am.....that kinda made my wife question what we were talking about. But then after the next couple of letters, Elena made several references towards my relationship with Carole and how she hopes to find the same thing. Never was there anything mentioned that she wished I was that part of her life. So Carole took it as a compliment.
