A coworker (who subs in every now and then), who I've liked for years is single now. She is the same age as me with two kids. I talked with her on the phone thursday for a about 45 mintues or so. I asked last thursday for us to have lunch. She said "I can do that". She said she hasn't gotten her new work schedule and would let me know. As of right now that's where it stands. I'm not going to ask again. My question is how many times a week would you call/text a girl you liked? In my case I thought by asking her to lunch, more than shows her I'm interested. I guess where I'm loss is when should I call her again? Or should I let her call/text me. Since she is a sub where I work I don't see her much. Every now and then she will text me. Last week, she gotta a new phone and told me what her new number is via text. Any suggestions is appreciated.

When my boyfriend and I first met... that week directly after I almost blew it with him by not responding to him for a few days due to work. He tried calling 4 times over a week, and texts me every night. During his last try, I missed the call and listened to the voice mail. I still have it and he said in it "Can't say I didn't try..." I called him right back and I am so glad I did.

I called him right back and I am so glad I did. Glad you were able to work that out. I just actually text this gear and she responded quickly. She was getting ready for her night job. So I just sent her a check in text. I think now the ball is in her court. I called her last Thursday and asked her to lunch. She said yes, but had to check her schedule for her two jobs. So I just sent her a check in text. I think now the ball is in her court. I called her last Thursday and asked her to lunch. She said yes, but had to check her schedule for her two jobs. I am understand that she works a 9 to 5 plus a night job and raising two kids. There isn't a rule. My guy was pretty persistent and he made it CLEAR when he was trying for the last time.
