chasingbutterflies Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I frequently go dancing in my city and have made friends with other regulars. I like dancing with loads of different people, and I can usually tell when someone likes me (in a sexual way) or just likes to dance. But, everyone's body language is really different, and I just can't get a reading on this one guy. Here is the situation: When we are dancing, it is extremely hot and sensual. Very close, tight arms around the waist, fingertips lightly caressing. I am grateful for spin outs because they give me a second to cool down. He will also dance with me a lot (3-4 times a night). We both like dancing with other people, so I feel like 3-4 times is my max for one dance partner. Last time, he even "fought" to dance with me with another guy. Very flattering if I do say so myself. But THEN, off the dance floor, our conversations are so banal we might as well be chatting in a grocery store aisle. No offers to walk me to my car, get a drink afterwards, go hook up in an alleyway...nothing. I got his number a while ago, and I usually ask him when he is planning on coming out again. He will tell me a specific time and hasn't flaked yet. He also asks me to text him when I will be going. Oh yeah... he NEVER responds to my texts!! A huge pet peeve of mine. I've pretty much given up non him and chalked it up to a terrible case of misleading body language, but I wanted to put it out there in case anyone has any advice.
StanMusial Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 If you are a good dancer maybe he just enjoys dancing with you.
Author chasingbutterflies Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 I've definitely considered all the above. Thanks for the input. I won't see him for a couple weeks because I'm going out of town, so I will reassess when I get back. Probably I'll just ask him if he has a bf/gf. Easiest way to figure it out. 1
ExpatInItaly Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Like another poster suggested, I'd honestly be thinking that he's not single
