Hi everyone,*

I need your opinion on this. Imagine a woman, (let's call her Sally) was dating a man (John) for three years. They talked marriage, had met each others families, parents had met each other. It was like an unofficial engagement. They were very serious and everyone expected they would get married. Sally was convinced she had found her husband because of the level of commitment and the promises he made. * But one day in January, *John dumps Sally for another woman (Jane) with whom he has been cheating with for about six months. Sally was distraught....completely distraught. Sally later discovers that John is infact engaged to the woman. He proposed to the woman in December and all this while was pretending to still be with Sally. Needless to say she is horrified.*

She also learns that Jane ( the woman she was dumped for), had been engaged to her boyfriend of five years ( let's call him Peter). She also called off her engagement with Peter to be with John. Peter was a fantastic man to Jane, so he was distraught too! In summary, *Jane and John had been cheating on their partners ( Sally and Peter) and after leaving their respective partners, they got engaged and ended the relationship with their former partners.*

After Sally learns of this, she is so hurt. She needs someone to talk to. Smeone who understands what she is going through. So she gets in touch with Peter because he was dumped too. Anyway with time, Sally begins to discover that Peter shares so many similarities with her. They get very close and speak all the time. However Peter is currently away on a post graduate course. So they haven't met in person yet but skype, email, call, text etc. The find themselves bonding as really good friends. Peter is always there for her. But none of them have expressly said anything that implies romantic interest!

It's kind of obvious there is some sort of bond and they both each other attractive. (Although the haven't met in person yet and will do in June). But none of them have come out straight although Peter has been extra caring and supportive to Sally, contacts her everyday etc.

Anyway they have been friends for about two-three months now,

. Would it be weird if they got together as a couple eventually? If all the indices were right? What do you think?
