diskostu Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Thing is, she is a good friend of one of my ex's (broke up about a year ago). I've known her for as long as my ex (two years). Never had much contact, but always flirty and a good vibe. Met her for coffee twice recently and I am starting to like her. She's a cool chick. So last time i asked her if "she wanted to do something sometime". She answered "what did you have in mind". I simply said that i didn't have anything specific in mind and whereby she said "yeah, sure we can.". Usually i'd just run with it and tell her a specific time and date to meet up, but being a good friend of my ex i can see some potential for drama and trouble here. She knows i'm interested in her, yes?
CudLRoo Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 ^Yeah, definitely, but watch out for being friendzoned if you wait too long.
normal person Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Since you only "sort of" asked her out, you shouldn't be too surprised that she only seems "sort of" interested in the idea. You get what you give. She sounds responsive, but next time you should have a definitive plan, don't just do it halfway. If you want to do it, you can't expect her to do the planning.

Interesting take on it. Guess I had to first gauge her interest, as she is good friends with the ex. Told her i was very busy the next week, but that i'd call her and we set something up after that. She said "sure, you have my number" and we parted ways.
