Diesel_Power Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Hey guys, My ex-girlfriend and I have been broken up since December. She is a junior in high school and I am a senior. We started talking again about a month ago and things have been going great. She said she wanted to take it slow and just be friends for a while, and I respected that. Things have progressed and now she is letting me take her on dates and take her out to lunch. We talk a lot now and are a lot happier than we were when we were dating. We've built a friendship (which I believe is the foundation of a good relationship) that we never had when we were in a relationship. So basically, I feel things are going well. Here is my dilema: prom is coming up at the end of April and I really want to ask her. She's given me hints that she wants to go to prom with me, so I feel that shouldn't be a problem. What I'm having trouble with is that I want to ask her to be my girlfriend again. I don't know whether I should kill two birds with one stone and ask her to go to prom and to be my girlfriend at the same time, if I should ask her to be my girlfriend before I ask her to go to prom, or if I should ask her to be my girlfriend after I ask her to go to prom. I thought about asking her on our date we have planned next week to go to prom as my girlfriend. I don't know whether I should just flat out explain my feelings or ask her or if I should give her a letter at dinner explaining the same thing. I also thought about giving her a bag of chocolates and a sweet tea (her favorite drink) and asking her to prom when we get back in my truck after dinner. If she were to say yes, I was thinking I might be like, "In that case, would you be willing to go to prom as my girlfriend?" I don't know what I should do or how I should do it. Any help is much appreciated!

I opened his door and there was flowers on his bed and the words " PROM?" written in post its. On each post it he wrote things. Why he loved me,cute, sweet things. Finally when i got to the " ? " post it he wrote kiss me for yes You could so do that and on the last post it ask her to be your girlfriend to. I loved it. It was cute. Thoughtful. It took effort and of course I said yes!
