It will not be pretty when he finds out you slept with this guy. Someone ias going to get hurt badly. End your marriage now. I was mistaken and i felt you were a typical bored MOW, but I seems your marriage is dead. So why stay married? Exactly. Dead indeed.

Secondly, he's told me that he would kill himself if I ever left him so he's holding me hostage that way. We've had serious discussions about divorce before, and he goes through brief stages of trying to make an effort, but then he goes back to his old ways. If we do get a divorce, I'll have to support him financially through the process because he is practically penniless. In essence I just want to be in a stable relationship with someone who has their life together, and for me, that means divorce. You would probably have to pay spousal support for a time... but I think it's worth testing to see if he is serious about killing himself. I would put a large bet on this just being all talk. What I think should really scare you about an affair... is that it may force you to stay in this crap marriage until your 40. Because you would have all your needs fulfilled by this OM which would make divorce just look like a pain... and if the affair ends badly... then you just go running back to your husband tail between your legs... and the guilt would make you keep trying to fix it. My advice... file divorce. I know you want to want to have another guy all lined up before you split. I promise that you are pretty enough to get a quality guy! Don't worry about that.
