Seeing an ex at a party.

Hello,

 

I need a bit of help concerning this matter. Basically, tonight there's this cool party not far from my town (20 km) where I'd really like to go. Bad thing is, I discovered (by looking at the event on facebook) that my ex will also be there. My thoughts:

 

- I don't want my ex to dictate my life! I want to go there and have fun, do whatever I feel like doing! I won't allow her to have this power over me.

- Since the party is not in our town, may she think that I'm actually going there just to see her? That would be stupid and it bothers me because I'm going there with my friends, not for her.

 

The next thought is about seeing her there:

 

- She broke up with me and in the end she was really bad (last contact was a text from her telling me I'm a bad person and that she doesn't want to hear from me in her life again): how should I behave if I see her? I'm reading different opinions and I'm quite confused..

1) ignore her completely. You're there to have fun, drink, be with your friends and enjoy the music!

2) some people say that by ignoring completely, you look like you're still pissed off and you didn't move on, so they suggest to say hi or smile if she is near you. Actually, I don't feel like doing this at all. If we split on a good term it would be acceptable, but since she was so bad to me, I don't feel like saying hi or anything.

 

What are your thoughts on this? I love you Loveshack :love:

I would say don't let her being there stop you from going.

 

Also, if she doesn't talk to you I wouldn't worry about talking to her. Maybe she won't even go? Lots of people respond to facebook events and then never show up.

i chose not to go.

 

however i want to get a train and see her tomorrow and go ****ing nuts.

Frederickk, she's not even worth my words ;)

 

Roaming, she'll go for sure because it's a party hosted by her faculty at university and she has always gone there. So 100% sure. But as you said, I don't want her to control my life anymore!

 

Thanks for the input on the non talking! My idea too :)
