FitChick Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) And most people don't have to go to extremes. Jim Carrey and Hugh Jackman talk about getting into shape for films. I'm sure professional fitness models do the same. And they don't stay at those extreme levels all the time, only when working. So if you are trying to emulate their level of perfection, even THEY don't look that good all the time. Edited March 5, 2013 by FitChick 1
Emilia Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I think Hokie made this point once too. You need to do what you enjoy, that's the only way to keep it sustainable long term. Otherwise you burn out. 1

Absolutely. You find many sports men and women won't stay in tip top shape all the time either. Like these actors, they target certain events and try to peak at that time. Boxers are the classic example. Many bloat out to a comfortable weight after a fight, Duran was known to pile on up to 40 pounds. Come the next fight there's nothing but muscle and bone. It's easy to think they're in that awesome shape all the time, truth is it's only for a couple of months in the year.
