"first date" with ex

I just read "the grass is greener syndrome" and it basically explains my situation perfectly. My boyfriend of five years broke up with me 6 weeks ago today. We had been talking seriously about marriage for about 6 months now and even had a ring picked out. He said that he wanted to break up with me because he no longer is "in love" with me. He said that he was not good enough for me (He recently got laid off from his job... A lot of of self worth comes from providing). Four weeks after our break up we met up for dinner and had a great time. We just caught up and didn't talk about anything serious. It's been two weeks now and haven't heard from him since. He is not the kind to have a rebound relationship.... I am just at a loss now of what to do. No contact worked to get him to meet up with me, but now what?!? Back to no contact? Please help! Any advice is great

We still haven't been in contact. I don't want to be the one to initiate contact again, but I am also scared that I will never hear from him again. My friend told me something today that I really liked... It was something along the lines of... If you are meant to be together for the rest of your life, then it is worth it to give him space and time to figure that out, in the long run a few months apart won't hurt if you are going to spend the rest of your lives together.

I don't know if anyone if following this! But here's the update! Today while I was at work he texted and called me. I called him back once I got off work and we are going to breakfast tomorrow! I'll let you all know how it goes!
