My sign is Leo but I actually hear people use their signs for a potential partner. Is is true dating sites use this as well for match making?

It's snake oil. I'm Sagittarian, and YES, I *do* have plenty of Sagittarian 'traits' but also many other 'traits' of other star signs. It dilutes intelligence, it's unnecessary.

I do think there is something to be said for it. Should you base your entire relationship or dating prospects on astrological compatibility? Certainly not.

 

But I am a textbook Scorpio. I don't think there is one trait I don't own. From creativity, to passion, to being cerebral, to being the most sexual sign in the zodiac--all the way down to being jealous, ego driven, highly controlling, and secretive.

 

It just so happens, the people I get along best with, are the signs who I'm told are supposed to be compatible with me in the first place.

maybe because of the little you have will put u in danger, but dont dismiss other who do use it as a guide. I wonder how successful you are in dating that you put down others who do rely upon it.

 

OP, I cant date an air or fire sign. its worked out very well for me.

yes water and earth signs for me. water makes earth signs softer (Virgo) and earth signs give water stability. the best for me is capricorn and taurus, virgos after and then cancer, scorpio and last spicees ;) although I never dated one but I do love fish!

 

I didnt believe a single damn thing about astrology. nothing. and youre looking at the most skeptic zodiac sign and person of them all.

 

I dated a professional astrologist. 52Yo .she was also a tarot reader and a graphologist. she did a map for me and the accurate things she said really shocked me. she too was a Virgo. I dont look at it like religion but I use it as a guide. Ive dated other signs when I did OLD but it was just too much trouble for me. over the time I was with her I learned so much about the mystical world.

 

if anything youre the hater. if you dont like it, doesnt mean you have to dismiss others who do use it. if its not for you then why even comment?

Haven't used it necessarily for dating, but when it comes to synastry, I've noticed that some girls I have liked make certain aspects to important points in my chart.

 

Nevertheless, I don't use astrology too seriously, but it helps me in certain areas of my life.

I have always thought this was total bs. If you go into a relationship with preconcieved notions that it will never work because your signs are not compatible then guess what it probably won't work.

Though I do like how my month/year/day are. I was born year of the dragon.

 

Month and day of fire.

 

My sign. Creatures are the Pheonix and Fire Dragon. :p thought that was lovely to match my fiery qualities...

 

But that's different then the signs we discuss. I think its fun though.

I never believed in astrology one bit, then i met my fiances friend and she tried to convinced me that it was true,I will admit after doing research i was a believer. I even did the whole chart thing and to my surprise a lot of what it said about my fiance was him! It also said that we are very compatible, I still don't believe in natal charts and astrology on the whole, Not every one will be compatible and it really has nothing to do with charts, i know many couples that are happily married and they're not the BEST match for their partner according to the natal charts. As everything else there will be folks that believe in this and others that reject it, I'm an aires and my fiance is leo and we're together not because we're "compatible" Relationships work because two people decide that that's exactly what they want, it takes alot more than a chart to determine if a bond will last or fail!
