picaso28 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Well I posted a few nights ago about my dating dilema....so I go out with a girl I met on the a dating site. We have been chatting and txting more or less daily for over a week. Anyway we meet after I finish work for a drink. I thought it went ok, she smiled, laughed at my jokes, played with her hair and at one point touches my hands. But then suddenly she says she is going in minute as she is tired. now to be fair she works two jobs and has been working late this week. So we leave, no talk of another date and no kiss on the cheek. Bad. I get home no txt from her so I txt her. She is slow replying but I ask her if she wants a proper date. She replies saying yeah she will check her new work rota and get back to me. Is this a brush off? I am puzzled as I thought it went ok

I am puzzled as I thought it went ok You're over analyzing it...if she didn't want another date she would have just ignored you. I dont think it is uncommon for no kiss after a first meeting through OLD; I've never had one though I have had two admit they wanted a kiss after first meeting me Did she tell you about when she would know her schedule?

You are strangers who met on the internet so neither of you should've expected a lot from a first meet. Its a first meet, not a real first date. Casual is better than overly needy.

Yeah she said her rota is out tomorrow so I guess that's the moment of truth. To be fair neither of us clarified how long or what we would do tonight so maybe it was crossed wires and she always intended a quick drink. Just I'm not that exorienced with online dating or in general for that matter plus she is really hot, way out my league! I couldn't believe it when I saw her looks better than the pics and I'm worried she thinks I look worse!

If she didn't find you attractive in any way she wouldn't have met you and wouldn't have agreed to a second date, even if tentative. Remember women are much more likely to date "down" when it comes to looks
Quest Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Doesn't sound like a brush off to me. It was a first date with someone you met on line. By the sounds of it she enjoyed herself enough to hang out for a while and consider meeting up again. My guess would be she'll try meeting up again but if she doesn't it won't be because she thought the date was a disaster - just that she's meeting a few people, or has other things that are more important or time consuming to her at the moment than dating.

Necris Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Here I was thinking I was going to hear a crazy date story where the girl tells you about her gay man on man sex fantasies and give you a speech where she defends the Nazis, while talking unusually loud embarrassing you in a restaurant. No? Just me (that actually happened to me on a date)? Oh well. In all seriousness sounds fairly normal to me, you just need to relax, then again I've never had a 2nd date.....so yeah.

Thats good I had something similar Friday, I pick her up and she tells me about her last 48hours, the night before she didnt go to sleep as her little (sorority) calls her as she was just dumped and stayed up all night with her, went to work and I picked her up that night, so no sleep in a long time. We cut it short after dinner so she can go to sleep and I was really caught off guard. I started to over analyze it (which a lot if not all of us do), but we're still communicating at our normal level...but I was a little worried that perhaps she had lost interest based on some history I've had which I know is bad, but oh well.

I couldn't do sat night either but she suggested Sunday instead so it would appear she is up for 2nd date. She said she would like an evening date though.....not sure why really and I didn't ask her.....any ideas why this could be guys? I had planned on taking her for country walk as we both like hiking then nice meal but not sure now
