Bando89 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Do you feel better if you're absolutely sure your ex is not attending a party you are going to, or similar stuff? I.e. you know for sure that he/she is at a birthday party, or out of town. I have to say I do. I feel more relieved because I don't have to face strange situations where you don't know if you want to say hi or not, you don't have to bother about seeing them etc. It's like having less pressure. Probably in a big city this would be less significant, but in a small town where there are 3 pubs it may matter more. What are your thoughts on this? Do you go to a place if you're sure your ex is there? Are you more relaxed if you're sure he/she's not there?
Thunderchild Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Yep - am getting to the stage where I could quite happily never see her again. In fact, I'm planning a pernemant state of NC. I don't want her back, I feel that I would not be interested in what she was doing a) it's none of my beeswax and b) I have more important things to do. Wish I could sort out my sleep pattern though!
evondavis1 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I know I feel so much better when I don't see my ex. When I know he will be around, I get anxiety. Even 6 months later, he still makes my blood boil and I am a wreck. Unfortunatley, we have a son, so we have to have contact. There are days that I am content, happy, moving on. When I know we have to pick/drop off our son, I get this crazy, heart racing, head spinning mood that is uncontrollable. I avoid any and all situations that he might be involved in. Complete NC is the only way to go to fully heal. You don't have to see them or hear from them. It is peaceful. If you see them, all your thoughts will start to spin, and it is not healthy. NC will help you with your healing process, I hope you feel better soon ;-)
KatZee Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) Well my ex and I don't travel in the same circle so thankfully I don't have to see him ever again. But, "Some people are like clouds. When they leave it's a brighter day." That's how I feel about my ex, he always clouded my life, and now that he's gone? The sun shines every single day. Edited March 1, 2013 by KatZee
