I think if you're flirting with another person while you're in a relationship, then you need to take a good hard look at yourself. At the same time though, finding other people attractive isn't going to go away and it's something you have to be adult enough to deal with. I would say excessive flirting with the opposite sex is unacceptable while in a relationship. It's not okay. Many people overlook emotional cheating. It's why I choose not to keep male friends any more.

If I had a boyfriend who did this, I would not dump him straight away. We'd have to work through it. If it keeps happening though, it's a no go. Maybe sub-consciously her man isn't doing it for her and if he knows that she flirts with other men, who won't feel like the number one man in her life. In the most in love I've been, I absolutely had no desire to flirt with any other man, even the better looking ones. With my recent disastrous relationship, I had to suppress that feeling far too often for it not to be a problem. Saying that, I don't think it's a dumping offence if both sides are honest about and can have an open conversation about it. I wouldn't expect anyone I was dating not to find anyone else attractive. But if either party acts on that, that's the end of the relationship.
