HopelesslyStuck Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I'm not going to go into long detail on here about why we broke up as I have already explained that in another post. I'm just curious about something. He and I were together two years. We shared everything together, were bestfriends, talked all day, just super close. Even though he treated me with complete disrespect.. (cheating, lying, ignoring, ditching, insulting... etc) We were still best friends. & I am still in love with him. It's only been a month and a half since we parted and it was originally a break for him to see if he wanted this right now because he needs to work on himself. He decided he didn't want to get back together. And we haven't been talking at all because I am going NC. Anyway.. With us being so close and everything, and me aiming for complete NC, do you think he'll miss me enough to come back when I'm not in his life anymore? Even though I don't think getting back together is a good idea until we both actually change and want it, I still want him in my life as a friend. I don't know. I keep thinking that hes going to come back eventually when he realizes he let something so special, go.
Love4Pain Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Unfortunately there is no rule that says by not talking to someone it will automatically make them come back. You were with him for 2 years, do you think he is the type of person to feel that way after not talking to you for a long time? I don't think there is anything wrong with having a cooling down period and really think things through. If you think you are in a better place down the road, how will you go about letting him know? Or how will he let you know?

Author HopelesslyStuck Posted March 2, 2013 Author Posted March 2, 2013 Well. I think that I'm just going to stop wishing, waiting and wanting him to come back. My bestfriend, is dating my ex's bestfriend. All three of us were hanging out and he told me "I'm gonna be straight up with you.. He's trying to find someone else." And I was just thought. After dating two years, then a month and a half later after we break up hes already trying to find someone? Hm. Sounds like a rebound. or just him wanting sex. His bestfriend was like "and when he cant find someone, hes going to realize what he lost" and hearing that from his best friend was just like so good. Because it made me realize how sad I was being over someone so terrible. It's obviously still hurting me, but at this point I'm going to let my ex go do what he wants, and accept it to my best ability because hes going to do what he wants, regardless. And like his bestfriend said, when he realizes like how stupid he was for doing this dumb **** to me, hes going to feel terrible. & honestly, he should. I'm done letting his stupidity and carelessness control my emotions and making me have terrible days. It's time for me to live my life.
