kyle77 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 So there is this girl in my university class who I have been locking eyes with since day 1. Now a couple weeks in I mustered up the courage to go up and meet her. After a couple classes sitting with her I got to know her fairly well. Hobbies, interests etc. Things were going along great until one day she just seemed very stand-offish and even annoyed by me. So, me not being a guru when it comes to women, took this as a bad sign and backed off for a bit. Then before reading week, I caught her staring at me several times throughout class. I have had a couple of classes since reading week and she is definitely staring at me every class. There is a bit of distance between us right now though. I have no idea what is going on in her head, but in my head I am just confused. Is she mad at me? Are those death stares? Is she waiting for me to make a move? I don't know because at first I definitely thought she was mad at me, but recently I have been thinking that she might not be. I don't know. What do you guys think? Should I just go and sit by her again see where we are at? Or is this a definite sign that I should stay away?
TouchedByViolet Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 One option is she is an assassin hired to kill you but likes you and feels torn or Maybe she is waiting for you to make a move and is frustrated it is taking you so long. Either way go talk to her and see if she is interested. Ask her to do something with you outside of school, and stop all these starring contests. Then you will have a answer.
ChatroomHero Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Maybe see if you can walk by her before class and make a little small talk and gauge her reaction. Seems like it would be awkward if you just sat by her after ignoring her for a while.
Shardish Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I have an idea. At the end of your class (providing you both have no classes remaining) ask her if she wants to grab a coffee with you. Just say "Hey, I was just going to go to x place to grab a coffee I was wondering if you wanted to join me?"

We used to walk in the same direction....so in a way I would walk her to class. Its just now I don't know whats going on because I am sitting with my friends on the other side of class having these staring contests and I feel like its weird that we are not sitting together and talking....

Alternatively you can ask her if she fancies joining you for coffee at the end of the day. I would also try that route, she will get the message loud and clear and you'll know where you stand one way or another.
