zanzi Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Do you agree that a lot of men and women seem to be out there playing mind games, and its hard to swim for all the sharks in the water, or has disappointment in love just disillusioned me? Iv'e met a lot of these types before. The "I love you" type, who will say anything to get your money, your body, and your trust. The "taking it slow type" who never actually plans to commit to you. The "invites you round when he's bored" type. In other words **** buddies. Never invites you to hang out with his other friends. The "sticks around for a couple of months then dissapears" type. He drains your bank account, and your sanity. Kind of similar to my previous post. I was just wondering how one learns to spot them.

What's going on there? If someone is trying to get money from you, that should be a HUGE red flag. "Taking it slow" is legitimate, but should be steadily forward and certain milestones should be steadily reached: exclusivity before sex and open talk about marriage plans (if you are looking to marry) by a year, with increasing "couple-ness" between the two. To clarify, not hints, not tip-toeing around the issue, and not you nagging him until he reluctantly says he sees marriage in your "future", too. A man who wants to get married, and wants to marry you, will be an enthusiastic participant in the conversation.
