How can I ask my boyfriend if he is bothered by the fact I am taller than him?

Hello,

I have been going out with my boyfriend for about 2.5 months now. I am about 1-2 inches taller then him. (I'm 5'7 and he's 5'5-5'6) It does not seem like that big of a difference but it's noticable. I know this is something we need to discuss, especially because I like to wear heels, but I can tell he sometimes gets senstivite when the subject is brought up. I really like him and want things to work out with us.

 

 

On another note, has anybody had experiences like this where they have dated a guy shorter than them, or know anybody who has?

I've dated women taller than myself up to 2-inches. Didn't bother me and it didn't seem to bother them.

 

Just ask him and let him know that you are fine with it.

Why even bring it up? I don't see how any good can possibly come out of that question.

 

It's basically the same thing as asking if he thinks your fat.

 

He's either going to say no, and nothing changes. Or say yes and you get all upset.

 

Here's how you handle this situation.

 

Don't ask him if your height bothers him.

Do wear whatever you want (including heals) if it bothers him, he will bring it up.

normally when i have been otu with a guy who was just as tall o rshorter than me they ask me if their height bothers me...i say nah does it bother you? and most of them have not worried about whether i wear heels or not.....i am only five four i have dated five foot upwards to 6 foot 5 height shouldnt be a problem.....i never stopped dating someone because of their height....ithin k you should just ask him if he likes it when you wear heels, or i fhe likesa particular pair of heels you are wearing if he says yes i love them..i fhe thinks about it and goes they are ok i guess...he isnt too keen on you wearing them.........if he loves them he doesnt have a problem you are taller than him when you wear them, you get your answer without having to mention it at all simply because its a more comfortable way for him to answer....................deb
