Amelie1980 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 If it would help to have some tears.....listen to Coldplays X&Y. Specifically Talk and What If. Had me crying on the bus. 1
destroyed4sho Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Don't listen to break up songs, it delays the healing process. 4
bagotabagota Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 The Mountain Goats "Woke Up New" is a song I think a lot of us can relate to. Really got me hard at the beginning of my break up. "The first time I made coffee for just myself I made too much of it, but I drank it all just cause you hate it when I let things go to waste."

bagotabagota Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Nah, man. Be like a business man waiting for a train to arrive and get ready for the future to arrive
na49 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 How about instead of posting songs that make us want to cry, we post songs that make us feel f*cking awesome? 1
iouaname Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I don't like the songs that make me cry, I like the ones that make me feel empowered. I haven't been able to listen to music as much since the break up because so many songs remind me of my ex (pathetic, I know ), but I have a specific playlist that I like that make me feel better: You Outta Know -- Alanis Morisette (for the angry moments ) Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart -- Alicia Keys Miss Me -- Andy Grammer It's Alright, It's OK -- Ashley Tisdale Irreplaceable -- Beyonce Torn -- Natalie Imbrigula Believe -- Cher Fighter -- Christina Aguilera If You Don't Want My Love -- Hoku Stronger -- Kelly Clarkson Don't Stay -- Laura Izibor Cry For You -- September Better In Time -- Leona Lewis 1
Toddbt12y1 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 LOL hm...this makes me realize I never really listened to many sad songs... I think nights in white satin is sad and talks about unrequited love. Blah...I listened to these: these might not even be sad... Nights in white satin. Any pink Floyd.(coming back to life seems sad...nice vocals) send me an angel. Still loving you...scorpions. Dazed and confused(fitting I'd say...) Right now I'm chilling to stairway to heaven! Oh simply red's version of 'if you don't know me by now' simply reds holding back the years... Snuff is a good song. Many slow stone sour songs... Damn...I don't have many sad songs hm... I know a sad one tho... Three days grace 'last to know' good for cheaters. Then journey stuff....yeah o listened to too much old school... Oh...not sad but fitting: take it on the run Reo speedwagon. Fitting for cheaters... When a blind man cries. Soldier of fortune.... OK I Dont really listen to many sad songs so meh... Give me old school thrash metal and I'm pumped.
Addison312 Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Nine Inch Nails "Only" has an upbeat, positive feel to it. If you were left for his previous ex, Amy Winehouse "Back to Black." Also Kelly Clarkson "Since U Been Gone."
destroyed4sho Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I cant listen to break up songssss..i CANT I CANT ICANTTTTTTTTT
adelia Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Oddly enough during a BU I've not been able to listen to music it always sets off crying jags. Depending on who it was would depend what song bothered me. Whether it be a memory of them or a song attached to something we did
RiceaRoni Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I will survive! Always a great classic Beyonce helps a lot too haha - if I were a boy, irreplaceable, best thing I never had, diva, single ladies Neyo - miss independent Mario - let me love you
Wabisabi Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Almost Lover by A Fine Frenzy. Well, for me I find listening and singing sad songs kinda cathartic.
SimonSerenade Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Aw man, Linger by The Cranberries always gets me.

Coping Vortex Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 That song reminds me of farting ...."do you have to let it linger" "Do you want to pull my finger?" LOL!!! 1
Mack05 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) The last girl I loved left me two years ago. This song is the one I used to listen to all the time. It still gets me even today.. or one of the all time greats..I prefer Celine Dion's version to Meatloafs.. Edited March 19, 2013 by Mack05
