It goes back years but like I said I'm getting there it sucks that people can keep you in a little bubble for so long keep you believing in what they're saying etc tbh I think it's more habit now rather than 'love' or whatever it was

There's no reason to hang onto him and the memories like you are now. Aren't you dating someone now? IMP, let him go. You two aren't even friends, it's just a buddy thing for ego feeds. You can stop any time you'd like to, if you truly want to.. Seems like such a waste of time and energy to stay in that little bubble after so much time has passed.
