Just ended a 6 months LDR about a month ago. He broke it off with me, but through the whole "I dont know what to do" and "I dont want to loose you" etc etc. Never actually saying those words (I want to break up or something like that).

We are both early 30's and have gone through some serious relationships in the past. When we met we both felt like we met the person we would spend the rest of our lives with and it got serious very quickly. All went well, but over the Holidays when we were away we had some serious arguments where both of us said some mean things. I was however the one that apologized for all the fights.

When we broke up he was very upset about it. I tried to give him space and limit contact, but we have texted about three or four times since (some loose ends to tie up). I made a comment (not even that insensitive) and he got angry and told me that I said it just to upset him and I did not realize how much it upset him. I apologized again. I decided that I had enough and that I have to stop feeling that everything was my fault.

Two days later, he sends me a Valentine's Day message (Happy v-day, sorry for sending this but have no one else to send to x). I replied after some time with a nice and friendly message, but when it hit me, I actually got really angry about it. Since then he has liked my Facebook statuses.

What I want to know is why would he get so angry about something I said (not realizing that he said a lot of hurtful things after the break up to me too) and then go on to send me a message on Valentine's Day and now all of a sudden try and show me he is still around via Facebook?

Thanks - that's what I thought. It just messes with my head and gets me quite angry actually!
