Is it really the end of the world to visit an Ex's Facebook?

In my opinion, don't look. When my ex dumped me we stayed Facebook friends and after a few weeks of seeing his posts in my newsfeed and having my friend who was also Facebook friends with him, tell me it seems like he's fine and just going on with his life, I decided to hide his statuses. I was even able to not view his profile page because like you said, seeing anything he does makes you feel sad. So stay strong and try not to look at it, because no good can come from it...trust me!

Yes. Lol it is. I deleted my ex a few yrs ago not because of hard feelings but because he had his gf on there and it was too hard to see comments/plans/pics etc why do that to yourself.

DO not do it. I did was in relationship one week after I told her I no longer wanted anything to do with her. Fair enough we were not really together anymore but still she text me and invited me around etc but then now 3 months later they still together and I snopped her new girlfriends facebook and guess what her status was 'I am so happy' the day they both changed their facebook status. yuck! It hurt and it still does. I feel sick.
