me and my friend broke up with our girlfriends at the same time

and our ex girlfriends are best friends..

 

I broke up with mine for being flirty.. I hated it I was devastated didn't want it to end but she was really upsetting me... she doesn't want to get back together because she's feeling depressed and full of anxiety..

 

he broke up with his ex because he was feeling depressed...

 

I think about my ex and get upset constantly.. he seems fine about his.. and his relationship was longer.

 

Basically I can't even think about seeing another girl right now , I need to clear my head and sort myself out

 

However he's already planning on hooking up with girls. he hasn't told me but the girls have.

 

His ex misses him like crazy she'd get back with him in a heartbeat. just like I probably would (and shouldn't) with my ex..

 

it got me thinking.. my friend and my ex are probably like minded people and she's probably doing the same as him right now.. it's helped a bit. I think the second she hooks up with anybody else all my feelings will shatter and i'll get over it . i'll be devastated at the time but i'll move on.

 

is it just me who would not want to be with somebody who has shared something intimate with someone else? call me old fashioned but it wouldn't ever feel right again.

 

still no contact after she asked me to text her over the weekend. keep me strong !

I don't intend to find out if my ex hooks up with anyone else It might help me move on faster, but it also might really hurt my feelings and could cause me a lot of pain for a while. I think ignorance is bliss, at this point.

 

If he came back to me one day looking for a second chance - would whether he had been with someone else weigh on my mind? For sure. And truthfully, I don't know what I would do. That's just my frame of mind right now though, I hope to be a bit stronger as time goes on.
