mwhitneyvi Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 "There are only two types of women: goddesses and doormats." Your actions determine not only which you're perceived as by other people, but by yourself. When you find yourself building your ex up on that imaginary pedestal, wanting to contact him and grovel, beg, or pretend to be BFFs in an attempt to get him back, remember that. 9 times out of 10 it's like a mental slap in the face. Duh, you're better than that. Don't be a doormat. If anything, I'm sure many of your exes deserve to be YOUR doormat. 2
bluefairy812 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 ha! so true! i love it. my ex is contacting me and i love the fact i'm strong enough to not even care. i'm sure he's wondering why bc every other time i gave in like a DOORMAT. no more! 1
Author mwhitneyvi Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 Props!!! Even I can't take my own damn advice sometimes. It's hard... Keep it up!
New2Love4Now Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 this is why I read these forums, because of those posts that help me knock my ex off of her mighty pedestal that only I've built up for her and put myself up on it instead. We should honestly respect our doormats too much to compare them to our exes 3
