curtainlady Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 I am female and am have a guy friend we have known each other a long while and been talking recently some intimate talk. Then I emailed him and told him thought we should slow down and be friends (The reason I did this is because I like him more than friend but want him to respect me) He emails back a day later and says we can be anything you want us to be. What does that mean really in replying back to me and how do I proceed in order to make sure he respects me?

What you mean is, you want to make sure he has sincere feelings for you and doesn't just want sex, is that it? I would think by his reply that his mind is on going out with you - but sex is also on the agenda....
