Ex calling, speaking in weird, creepy voice. What does he want?

So I broke up with my ex last last week, and reiterated that we were through last week (after he called asking what went wrong).

 

My ex was a huge liar with anger issues and oddly, low self-esteem. We were long distance the last 6 months of our 1 year relationship, although I broke it off for 3 months. He threatened to end the relationship multiple times in the beginning and told me that when his ex girlfriends wanted to end the relationship, he NEVER contacted them again. Well, he was a huge liar so I should have known (even lied about his age and being in contact with his ex wife). He began contacting me every week or so. After ignoring him for 3 months I finally responded and we decided to give it another shot.

 

Of course nothing changed, and I got tired of having to send photos of myself to prove where I was after being called a slut, prostitute, cheater etc -- although he was the one with a history of cheating on his exes, and I hardly even dated!

 

He said I wasn't good enough for his respect, to go **** myself, that he hates me etc. He would never apologize either. So I ended it.

 

Well, today on Valentines Day he calls me, despite having blocked his number. I answer and he is speaking in a weird, creepy voice. I say "hello" and he responds in a really creepy high-pitched, whispering voice, "Hello". I ask him if he can speak like normal and he claims he is sick. He sounds like he is masturbating as well. He asks "Do you want to f*ck me? Ohhh" repeatedly.

 

While it sounds like a prank call, I swear he is just insane. He is a 36 year old doctor. He could care less if a child was dying in front of him and even bragged about his involvement in human trafficking/mafia and the likes. He is extremely macho. Does it sound like this is the kind of man to seriously be prank calling me or is he just nuts?

 

Why is he doing this? Could drugs change your voice? My ex before him would call me pretending to be in the middle of sex using YouTube videos...but Im not sure what the purpose of this one is?

Wow. I can't say much else, just wow. This guy is a complete a**hole. It sounds like the only thing he wanted was to feel in control of someone else. Always putting you down like that shows that he has some issues. He needs to make you feel bad in order to make himself feel good.

 

He thinks your not good enough for his respect? Trust me hun, you are much better than him. If anybody is not good enough, it's him. As for the prank call, yeah, he's insane. Or maybe just sick. Or both. If he really was masturbating he was obviously getting some sort of 'rush' from creeping you out on the phone like that.

 

I say good riddance to him. The only thing you could have done better is break up with him sooner, or never have dated him in the first place.

Thanks! I'm glad you agree he must be sick and/or insane.That is a good point that maybe he was getting a rush out of being a creep. Wish I had gotten out sooner, but at least his sick behavior reassures me I did the right thing.

As far as what your ex wants, he obviously wants to scare you, as a tactic to control you.

 

Because of the off-the-charts creepiness factor of this whole situation, I would contact your local police (non-emergency number), and ask them for advice on what to do, and what you should say to him if he calls you again.
