fortyninethousand322 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I had a discussion the other day with a friend of mine about signs women give you when they are interested. We largely went over the obvious basics: when they give you suggestions of stuff you should do together, ask if you're single, etc. And I told him by and large I'd never received any of those signals. I then told him about a girl I knew in college. At first I only knew her from class and then got to know her better when she tried to help me with a girl I liked. The entire time she told me she had a boyfriend (whom I never saw or met) who lived nearby but was not a student. The next semester (long after things had finished with the girl I liked) she started doing some weird things. Like wanting to study with me (and only me), or trying to get me to take the same classes that she did, wanting me to sit next to her in class all the time. One time she asked me to smell her breath () after she had eaten a sandwich and chewed some gum (I guess she wanted to make sure she didn't have bad breath), which my friend told me was a hint that she wanted to kiss me. On another occasion she told me her hands were cold and then proceeded to put both her hands around my arm (my hands were in my pockets) sort of like people used to walk arm in arm. It didn't last very long, I think she sensed that I was confused as to what she was doing. Considering that she told me she had a boyfriend, and from the way I saw her act around another guy that she knew (that I had met) my gut told me these weren't signals, she was just a weird person. My friend disagreed. Am I wrong? It doesn't matter much anymore as I no longer talk to the girl. But, just for my own reference notes going forward.
