If you think you have problems dating, I'd like some more open minded people to watch this video. Warning, it's long. Go to youtube and type the following in search...

beauty.and.the.beast the.ugly.face.of.prejudice s01e06

My takeaways:

It doesn't matter how ugly I am. I feel lucky. It doesn't matter how ugly the woman is sitting next to me that I'm having a great conversation with is. She won't be that ugly.

That said, the next woman I click with is still going to reject me because she wants somebody better looking than me. Even if she looks just like me or worse. I'm fine with that. Because I do feel lucky.

F@ck leagues, f@ck food chains, f@ck 'dating someone as attractive as you are', f@ck 'dating down', f@ck 'dating up', f@ck dating 'hot women'. I plan to watch this video every day to drill this into my head. Yes, I'm done with all of life's b@llsh@t.

hey, JuneJulySpetember

I've read some of your posts, you seem a cool guy. I simply don't understand, for the life of me, why you are this insecure. You sound great online. Witty. Funny. Caring. Insightful. You should NOT poison yourself with these thoughts. If you believe them, they come true.

While it is fantastic that you are grateful and counting your blessings, you should be more aware of your values, as an individual, as a person, as a man, yes more proud. I'm convinced that the dating world in the US can be tough, but there are normal people, normal women, over there, just like there are normal guys over here...

Interesting video, pairing two extremes.

Do you meet a lot of women like the ones in that video? They seem very extreme to me. Not anywhere close to the mindset of the women I know well.

Gratitude and contentment are powerful keys to happiness! :bunny:

Wow. Thank you for posting this, I watched the whole thing.

They used the word 'pity' in the beginning, and the funny thing is by the end I found myself feeling more pity for her than I did for him. Because he seems so much more well adjusted than she does.

Great piece, I enjoyed it thanks again.

Wow. That was unbearable to watch.

I rather commit suicide than live like this.
