Pasta1234 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Hello All, I am here looking for some sincere advice and serious comments to help steer me in the right direction, since i really feel overwhelmed and unsure of what to do.. The story starts Several months ago when i met this women online, after a few emails, the phone calls became frequent and without a doubt we found a deep connection. After a few weeks of phone calls, i asked her out, we set up a date, needless to say i was very excited. The day came and she became very frustrated and i found out she has a big insecurity about herself concerning her looks. I reassured her that i find her beautiful and i tried my best to drive that point home, but nothing i said seemed to make a difference. After asking her out again, i was told that she needed time, so i asked how long and she said a few months to her birthday. At first i had a serious hard time with that but I swallowed it up and agreed. Those months have passed, her birthday has passed over a week ago and it has been a very difficult week to say the least for me/us. I have asked countless times, frustrated and she has stated that she wants to be ready for me because she loves me so much and i don't doubt that. She also has stated that waiting shouldn't be a problem for someone that you love. I have expressed the sacrifices i have made and the pain that it is causing me but she is focused on her emotional pain from the past, betrayal and such. We still talk quite a bit and when this topic is avoided our conversation are simply great and our connection, affection is simply wonderful. I do love her, but the truth cant be avoided, how do i proceed to get ourselves out of this electronic relationship ? I have mentioned from day one that i have wanted more... There is no doubt that i have feelings for this women, but i don't feel whats happening is right, am i selfish and wrong ? Do i want to make some sort of ultimatum and drop it or do i, should i just wait along, should i attempt to visit her place ? ? I honestly don't know Thanks for the advice. P
clia Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Have you ever met this woman in real life? The word "catfish" comes to mind... 1
CarrieT Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Pasta, have you read the recent stories of a famous football player "having a connection" with a woman online who turned out to be a guy? The "connection" is in your head only and doesn't exist until you see and be with each other in person.
